Crochet Basics : instructions and video tutorial to make the treble (tr)
Introduction
If we keep climbing the illustrative stairs of crochet stitches, treble is our next step with approximately twice the height of half treble. Treble is the basis for many crochet complex stitches and I guess we can consider it the basic unit in crochet. Crocheting with treble creates a less compact fabric than with the previous stitches (double crochet and half treble).

Steps to make the treble – photo-guide
To make a treble you need to go through seven steps:
Step 1 : Placing the yarn over the hook (yoh), in order to have two loops on the hook
Step 2 : Inserting the hook into the next stitch on the chain (or into the part of the work indicated on directions)
Step 3 : Pulling a loop through the chain into the hook, in order to have three loops on the hook
Step 4 : Placing yarn over the hook (yoh) once more
Step 5 : Drawing the yarn through two of the three loops on the hook
Step 6 : Placing yarn over the hook (yoh) once more
Step 7 : Drawing the yarn through the last two loops remaining on the hook
