A brand new shining blog!
Here we go!! It’s official! Today we are launching Atelier Lady Julia version 1.0, our brand new blog on craft projects for people with restless hands !
Finally, our first post! We’ve been working for a while now to build this brand new shining blog and all that time I couldn’t wait for us to start posting. I imagined it would be much easier to begin than it is right now, as I’m staring at my blank document.
The reason I find it difficult is quite simple. This is a starting project and I can’t help wondering who will read our first post. I don’t even know if somebody will read it today or in the next few days. I wonder when will we have our first interested readers?
Who will be our first commenters? What will those persons think about our project? What feedback will we receive at this early stage, when there is still so much work to be done in order to build our blog’s community? Right now, I’m writing for a mysterious unknown reader, a reader-to-be…
First of all, lots of craft action!
Well, but we have to start some time and that time is today. So, let’s not loose any precious minutes and let’s get right to the point. We are not going to present ourselves, neither our project, on this post. For those who may be interested, we’ve already done it in “ About Atelier LJ ” section.
We are going straight forward to our second post so we can leave this uncomfortable “don’t know what to say on the first post” and start right away sharing our craft projects, which is the reason why we are here any way. Allow me to clarify this: it’s not really that I don’t know what to say! It’s more that I have so much to say about crafts that I don’t now where and how to start…and more important, when to stop!
And a little bit of craft talk too…
But, I guess that’s okay, since now this blog gives me the perfect excuse to think and chat about craft issues all the time! Don’t worry, I will share my thoughts in small doses so you won’t get bored, because if you have restless hands, I’m almost positively sure you are here for the projects, not for the talk! So, if you find craft talk annoying, don’t pay any attention to my mumbling and just focus on the projects.
Nevertheless, I hope you’ll understand that I find crafting such a positive and inspiring activity that sometimes I must share these wonderful feelings with others. Even over the most difficult moments of my life, crafting was always a source of comfort, pleasure and joy. For me, crafting means much more than simply engaging in projects and learning about techniques or materials.
In many ways, it’s healing as it helps to find peace of mind and serenity through pleasant moments of introspection and meditation. On the other hand, it is also a significant opportunity to communicate and socially interact with others. It is so stimulating and challenging that personally I find it strategic to enhance creativity and personal development.
Now let’s start “Creating Crocheted Jewellery”
Well, but enough talking for today. As I sad, on second post, we are going straight forward to our first craft projects, which will inaugurate our series Creating Crocheted Jewellery. So, next posts will be filled with the amazing things one can do with wires, beads and a simple hook!
