Introduction

If we keep climbing the illustrative stairs of crochet stitches, treble is our next step with approximately twice the height of half treble. Treble is the basis for many crochet complex stitches and I guess we can consider it the basic unit in crochet. Crocheting with treble creates a less compact fabric than with the previous stitches (double crochet and half treble).

Introduction

If we organize crochet basic stitches by an ascending height, first we have chain stitch (the crochet basis), then the almost invisible slip stitch followed by the very short double crochet and then by a stitch a little higher named half treble. Crocheting with halt treble creates a firm fabric with small stripes.

Yes, we know! It’s the “Wirefalls” necklace again! This time we’ve kept all the chains tied together as we had originally done on the tutorial post, but instead of using an organza ribbon, we’ve made some macramé knots with leather thong as showed on the photos. It completely changes the necklace style and look, don’t you think?
