What about beads?

Beads come in as many materials, shapes, colours and prices as you can imagine! If you don’t have any jewellery suppliers where you live, you certainly won’t have any difficulty finding beads’ sellers on the Internet. They are everywhere!!

Personally, I buy most of my beads in my local commerce. Swarovski crystal, glass, lampwork, wooden, metal, seed beads…it’s a never ending choice! However, since locally I don’t have much offer for semi-precious beads, I buy those at The Bead Shop and Matière Première, two serious online shops, one British and the other French.

I can gladly say that, at least for now, I’m their satisfied customer. As usual I’m not endorsing or recommending them, because I cannot guarantee that they are able to satisfy all customers. I’m just sharing my experience and information that can be useful for our readers. Anyway, with so many shops selling beads online, I think you won’t have many troubles to find your own online suppliers if you need to.

For our first projects we will use mostly seed beads (generally between 1mm and 1,5mm), which are usually easy to get, and perhaps also some Swarovski Crystal or glass beads. We will, however, show that it is possible to create beautiful and unusual wire crocheted jewellery using only wire. But of course, beads are so sparkling and attractive that we won’t resist their spell…
